Request info on Nissan car stereo wiring

Hi Guys, I have a pathfinder 06 and I'd like to fit my pioneer car stereo instead of the bog standard one. Problem is nobody seems to provide a wiring harness for this as apparently they changed the plugs that go into the back of the factory radio a few months back. I've gone so far as to send photos to the states and they still managed to send me the wrong one.

I'd appreciate it if anyone has any ideas, thanks in advance

First you should check www.autoleads.co.uk and download the 2006 catalogue. Check the pics of Nissan Harnesses that are in it. (Pathfinder is not mentioned) but one of them might be the same.

If not you can get a universal harness adapter and an auto electrician should be able to fit it for you.

Thanks, just got an email back from autoleads " im afraid we do not have a lead avalible for the pathfinder"

A universal adaptor will not work either unless a wiring diagram for the pathfinder is available. Any other ideas? appreciate the help

I had the same problem in my car. Eventually just bought the universal blocks cut off the old ones and spliced the new one on. Get a volt meter to find your + , - and switched + it looks hard but once you isolate the speaker wires it's not so daunting looking.

Thanks for the post. Unfortunately my auto electrician tells me that the radio is wired to a "cam bus" unit (sic? ) which apparently interrogates the radio and if it gets the wrong response the vehicle will not start . There are a lot more wires that just power and speakers so not sure splicing would work. I may ened up having to fit the new radio alongside the old to get around this, would look terrible but I may not have a choice. Would really love to hear from someone who has fitted a radio to a pathfinder.

A nissan dealer should supply these!! I would imagine they won't supply them unless you get them to fit the radio tho!!

They wont either fit or supply or generally help in any way at all. Windsor Belgard is the dealer
