Silly VBA Question

    I've been working on a macro, and ran into problems. It seems that it won't write to a particular sheet. This is a test piece I wrote
    Sub newMacro()

    Sheets("Comparison").Activate

    Range("C1") = "wagga"

    End Sub

    and it doesn't work. In fact, it writes the info to cell C1 in another sheet. How do I get around this?

    I think that I might have answered my own question. I had the macro in the code sheet for the worksheet instead of in the module.

    What's the difference? I know this is a fundamental question, but I've really no experience in VBA.
