hello well basically am looking to have full mouth reconstruction with procera crowns having very sound strong teeth (so dentists have told me)my issue is with the colour and lost of dentine givng them a yellow colour tried whiting just makes them sparkall but still yellowish ,found a dentist in hungary with 25 yrs experience also trained in the hollywood smile tech and 1988: UCLA Los Angeles Dental School
1990: Licenced in California DDS seen her work and talked to some clients think i found a good one with cost at 340 £ per tooth for procera its half the price of england, questions is procera the best fitting crowns u can buy because of how there made and and computer milling for perfect fitting the new zirconia is stronger then the older alumina but i heard that alumina had a better aesthetic effect i and for back teeth would u recommand metal or gold crowns rather then procera zirconia or stick all zirconia which am thinking of also these dentists carry out the the work in 2 to 3 sittings grinding the teeth and fitting the temps in one day even if it takes 12 to 15 hrs so i heard and the 2 weeks later final fitting over 2 days with the procera new crowns also i read in a perious post about lower teeth that can snap off very easily if not sooner rather then later which worrys me but heard sometimes they group together the lower 4 teeth for more strengh pls dentists out there help am worried but really had enough of the colour of my teeth and want the youthfull smile again am only 35 and no that this treatment could last me for 5 to 20 yrs so i heard but also am worried about a life time of dentists appointments in the future could careful eating and dental hgyine be enough to keep them good thk u for reading yours a unhappy nonsmiler at the moment hopefuly to change ):(

hi, if they are sound teeth no one in their right mind would offer to crown them. just have them veneered by someone who knows what they are doing. the lowers are not canditates for crowns. they are candidates for veneers though *sometimes*. even for venners depending on the bite you can need a heavy prep that can kill the nerve off.
the strength of all ceramics is not so much dependant on the ceramic but on what its bonded with. for example enamel is very weak but wear resistant. when its bonded to dentine it is *strong*. likewise all ceramics bonded to tooth with ceramic and dentine bonding agents are very strong.
the fit is dependant on the skills of the dentist in the preperation, retraction of the gingiva, haemorage control, fluid control, and meticulous impression technique. then on the lab. whether its empress or procera is irrelevent imho hope that helps.

hello lombs thks for your reply dentists have said to me that i shouldnt have my teeth crowned or veenered its just me being unhappy about the colour thats making me very unhappy and depressed , i was looking to crown 20 teeth which is alot and i no i probably be in trouble in the future with them but if it could make me happy for the next few years it would change my out look on life and push me forward rather then standing still. so would u recommend veeners for the front 4 top and bottom and crowns for the rest ? thks anyways belucky

Bar a few very exceptional circumstances, which I've yet to encounter in my own surgery, I would be very hard pressed to even remotely justify a treatment p1an that consists of 20 crowns. That sort of thing is an ethical minefield...

as you say full mouth reconstruction is only prescribed in very limited circumstances where extensive reconstruction is needed like past decay, huge copllapsing fillings, collapsed bite, gross wear and is usually done with periodontal surgery to lengthen the remaining teeth to get the crowns to stay and to make the teeth look normal again if they are worn. it is usually done in posterior quadrants to maintain posterior occlusal stops with the fronts being restored last. it takes many weeks/months to complete and requires about 20000 euros to be expended to be done correctly. i dont think id be proceeding with that plan with what the OP compains off . needs an assesment by a competent and ethical clinician i think...
funny thing is where i practice every tenth patient needs something approching major recosntruction but the whole reason they got in a mess was they had no money or didnt have any interest in their teeth so there is no way any of them want or need it..

I do full mouth reconstructions every day.....the average treatment time for me is about 1.5 years...thats not with waiting time for the integration of implants....this need to be done very very carefully by somebody who knows what they are at. Tread very carefully

exciting stuff im getting into it shortly, as fitzgeme said needs to be done by someone who knows there stuff and on the correct canditates with regard to time/finance/someone who can see the gain they are getting and are appreciative, and not something to have done on a dental holiday in turkey or bulgaria...
