Today, when making a call and it played the usual "your O2 balance is 3 euros and 20 cents message" i tried doing as i always do, pressing a digit to skip that. However it doesnt work anymore. Usually what id do is just hit zero as the voice message started, and head straight into the call, now i hafta wait. Is this network wide or has my phone turned exceedingly sh1t?

network-wide. They have changed the message slightly, her voice sounds different. Hope they fix this.

I didn't even know about this until one of my work colleagues showed me it a few months back... now I'll be annoyed by it again.

Pointless move by O2 tbh, I'm curious though does it cost you while they give you this message?

I noticed this too. It's an unbelievably long message for what it does.

Doesn't charge you for the message - they couldn't really - you could report them for that I'm sure!

Your not charged until after the called party answers. If I was still on O2 today, I would have gotten a contract anyway, the whole credit thing just annoyed me, I always ran out at the most inconvenient times.

I noticed too but what it thought me was what a rip off they are during the day.

    50 cent/min national landline (weekday before 6)
    65 cent/min to vodafone (weekday before 6)
