Cold water. Now. Lots of it.

Either run it under the cold tap for half an hour or put it in an icy basin. Either way, if it doesn't feel painfully cold and then go numb, you're not doing it right.

A knife, cut your thumb off and stich up the hand where it use to be.... No more sore thumb. :D

Or wait for it to blister, burst it and rum some anti septic into the area.

Why do people always chose the least painfull and most daft suggestion to hart?

i.e. Tea bag = daft but also the effect is the same as the 1st suggestion... Water.

Neither will realy stop the pain. So, solution, bursting the blister and using an anti-septic is the logical choice. (no infection)

edit: aloe vera again is logical.... rehydrate skin, might be the best choice actually
