Im flying out tonight and was wondering if anyone knows if the saline in a contact lens case falls within the liquid allowances.

AFAIK, prescription medicines with the passenger's name on the container are ok but must be checked by security staff.

Looked at this; if its not on its out. Happened to me with skin ointments (costing €250 - luckily just €85 in the one month  ) so check all your contact lens kit out of hand-luggage into checkin - only way.

Reckon you could get away with small phial of saline in your jacket though - just don't have it in your hand luggage.

    (oops probably too late...)
