About time tbh. Pity they weren't doing it when AMD were the performance leader. :(

LOL@"Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition (Does not include Operating System Re-installation CD)"

imagine not being able to reinstall windows. Muaahahahahahaha.

Yea, missed the boat a bit. Looks like they're using them in mid range home desktops for now. Prob to offer a better option for people on a smaller budget. No sign of them in any of the higher models like 9200 or XPS systems.

If you don't choose the option to get OS on CD they provide a Symantec Ghost restore partition to restore the machine to factory state. Only 6e to get the CD, be mad not to get it.

    WTF is this
Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005 (Incl Operating System Re-installation CD) [add € 42.35 or €2/month1]

Genuine Windows® XP Professional SP2 (Incl Operating System Re-installation CD) [add € 90.75 or €4/month1]

    nearly €40 for reinstall cd?

You're reading it wrong. It's 42.35 to upgrade from Home Edition to Media Centre Edition and to get a CD as well. Likewise for PRO. Only costs €6.05 for the Home Edition with CD.

Ya, thats because several of the components of the CD are actually manufactured using pure platinum, this makes it more durable, perform substancially better and provide an outstanding customer experience.....No, no wait, news just in - yes, its a rip-off.....

They are about a year late with this.....!

But for a budget the Semprons have performed better and for less money than equiv Celerons so "Family" PC's might be a couple of € cheaper this Christmass!

With Core 2 Duos around now....Intel=Performance!
