Internet, poker and DVD burning rig

    Hi,
    Quite a simple request. My friend is moving to Spain and doesn't want to lug his desktop over so would like to get something so he can go online, play poker and burn dvds from his camcorder on. He needs a big screen area for playing poker and that's the only obstacle really. He wont be playing games or have any high spec requirements. The cheaper the better for his requirements.

    I said it would probably be best to just buy a laptop here and if he really needed, he could plug a monitor into it for poker. Is this the best option to take?

    Would it be better to buy one over there as it may be cheaper and of course there may be local support? The bad thing is he wouldn't know which companies are good there etc and he could be given something he doesn't need. He doesn't know much about computers.

    So any suggestions for a cheap solution that will allow him to do the above? By internet, I mean broadband, with good speeds and wireless too.

    Any feedback would be appreciated:)
