    Hi
    CAR : 1996 peugeot 306 Saloon!
My drivers door speaker wqasnt working so i decided to check the wiring between the door and the car. I pushed the rubber cover back and to my amazement there were at least wires severed from opening and closing the door.
how do i replace this wiring?
i think it goes all the way back to the other doors so thats a lot of wiring to replace and not the sort of thing that one would find in good condition at the scrtappy. wherer do the wires come to a connector box?
At least the Central Locking still works!
I still cant figure out what the other wires are for! everthing else besides the drivers door is working. oh maybe the boot light! that doesnt work. and what are the sensors uder the seats for! No put on your setat belt light comes on when i sit in?

    thanks

No idea about Peugeots specifically but if the speaker is the only thing not working I wouldn't worry too much about the rest of it. For a speaker wire I reckon plain old insulating tape is your friend.

The rest of the wires going into the door may be part of the standard wiring loom to feed a load of options that your car might not have. Electric windows and mirrors, side airbag, central locking, extra speakers, maybe a light on the door edge for when it's open.

Sensors in the seats tell the car if there's anyone sitting there so if you crash you don't waste airbags. Only the ones that are needed go off.
