how do you pronounce Wednesday? do you make the first 'd' silent?

I ask because some of the lads I work with commented on how I say 'wed-ens-day' instead of 'wensday'

    Wensday. Feb-u-ry.

    Each to their own.

Slightly on tpoic, some guys sig on here reminded me of an odd point of the English language

"Well Clive, its about the two M`s. Movement and positioning" Ron Atkinson :D (legend)

In fairness, nobody pauses after saying a name in a sentence as such. Why is it required Well, name then the rest?

We call it "hump day," cause its in the middle of the week, like the camels hump. Some of you guys are probably thinking of another meaning for why we call it that?:p

February takes on different twists depending on how eloquent I feel but generally I aim for a Feb-u-ary.

Wed-ens-day, and Feb is interchangeable for me I think, depends on the mood probably.

whensday is what i say myself.

It's just the way it's pronounced Marts. It's like lamb or climb, you don't say lam-b or clim-b. So it's just the way it is really.

Wensday and Febbery - seriously, say it out loud!

Hey, please put my mind to rest on this one: what is it with people suddenly saying fawther everywhere instead of father? That "aw" sound gets me every time. "I was watching Lawst on TV last night. I couldn't turn it awf". How do you say it?

Argh!! Am I right or what?
