    Found this on a website.
I just spent the last ten days in county lock up because someone at Ebay/Paypal felt that something I bought could be used for illegal means and called the local drug task force. They found no drugs but some empty and clean pots and felt that they could be used for growing plants. Now my bond was 100,000 american dollars, but hey its only a 15% state, so it cost me 15,000 and my girl 7500 for a total of 22,500 non refundable american dollars and the deed to our house. Guess what the search warrant is not right so my dumb ass lawyer thinks that the charges will be dropped. I'm still out the 22,500, two 4x4 trucks, a car and my ZX-10, they were also taken, but we will get the trucks, car and bike back, in about 12 months. The popos also quoted me from a posting from this piece of **** web site, the famous cannabis.com. I have never said I use drugs on this web site, I almost always stick to the legal section. So I know that they at least read whats here, by the way the quote was that running was better than than get a for sure trip to the pen cause you might get away. The lead investigator looked me in the face and said that I was caught for a sure trip to the pen and what a shame I did not run. I was digging a hole for the new septic tank when the search warrant was served, oh wait when the bogus search warrant was served. **** you agent Owensby. And **** you Paypal/Ebay.

Meh.. nothing new. Try buying 4-5 bags of Peaches, a castor plant or a large amount of fertilizer by cash.

Or for that matter anything more then 10K in cash.

Sounds like there is something really weird going on with this guy.

First he says that its ebay/PayPal then he blames cannibis.com?

Something definately up with this lad. All around the world people buy pots and plants everyday. Bogus search warrent? Well we know enough about them here in Ireland. Usually the garda have messed up with their paper work and the criminal gets away.

OP, please don't post a quote from another site without at least stating your opinion as well. It makes you look sad.

If* this story was credible, then there could be remedies filed by the defense attorney, depending upon the merits of the case (e.g., false arrest, damages, etc.).

    *That's a big "If"

An anonymous post on the Internet eh? It must be true so. The bits where he clarifies that it's American Dollars "100,000 american dollars" and "22,500 non refundable american dollars" makes it sound exactly like all those phishing emails where everything is spelled out so there's no confusion.

I'd treat this story like any other sensationalist story every printed on the Internet or in the Mirror, made up.
