Family Guy 5x01 - "Stewie loves Lois" [SPOILERS WITHIN]

this board has been fairly dormant since the last seasons of show stopped so i thought i'd get the ball rolling...

tv.com summary

Stewie becomes obsessed with Lois, after she saves Rupert. Though Lois doesn't take to the new Stewie all too well. Meanwhile, Peter thinks his doctor is molesting him, when he undergoes a prostate exam.

Wasn't bad (some funny bits), but not great.

Though loved the bit with

Stewie and Rupert's head on a man splashing around in the water myself...!

i've seen far worse episodes of the simpsons over the last 4/5 years.

as for family guy it was grand.

Pretty crap.

Peter running out of the hospital and crying all the way home was just annoying not funny. Same goes for Stewie standing beside the bed going Mummy, Mom, Mama.

Ever since that South Park episode where they took the piss out of Family Guy I've liked Family Guy less and less. It really is just a lot of random jokes inserted for no reason what so ever.

Good parts of the episode were

calling monkey Meg as Mossy said and the Rupert and Stewie on the beach bit as basquille said.

I actually thought there was a lot less random jokes than usual in this episode and it tried to concentrate on a storyline a lot more. Still not a great episode though tbh

Thought this was very poor - the only laugh was the monkey/meg moment. The rest really felt like the manitees were out in full writing force and a lot of the references were too obscure to enjoy.
