Looking for an Oral Surgeon after a root perforation

    Hi,

    Does anyone know the name of an oral surgeon in Dublin? I had failed root canal treatment on a tooth last week as the dentist gave me a lateral perforation. I had two choices, extraction or see and endodontist. I am waiting on an endodontist appointment and in the meantime I am in excrutiating pain. Don't want to go back to the dentist that caused this perforation, as I know he'll try to extract the tooth, whereas if need be I would much prefer an oral surgeon to do this as the tooth is comprimised already.

    Also, did anyone ever have this problem before with a root canal? And if so, what was the outcome?

    Perforation is a common and sometimes unavoidable complication of some root treatments. If you want a oral surgeon...look in the yellow pages for practices limited to oral surgery.
