I`ve just taken delivery of a new garden shed from Abwood.I got a 8x 6 delux standard and am just wondering if theres any specific treatment I should be getting for this style shed.
I`ve bought some fencing paint and a spayer for my fencing and was going to use this on the shed also, but I`m a little unsure as it says its not recommended for planed wood, which the shed is,although the wood is treated before leaving the factory.

    powerwash it first

That is complete rubbish , Why would you encourage a person with a brand new shed to powerwash it ?

The shed comes in two finishes, standard delux which is untreated with preservative, and the delux which is pressure treated with preservative which gives the wood a green tint. If you are unsure contact abwood. So if its untreated use a preservative like protim which coats the timber but doesent paint it. A good product for this is cuprinol "shades" which is specifically for this. If the shed is treated you will have to wait till the timber weathers to put a stain/paint onto this surface as the factory preservative will not allow it to soak into the timber. Happy painting !

This thread is nearly 7 years old.
I'd be pretty sure the shed is painted by now.
Maybe it needs another coat. . .:D
