    Vodafone Data Tariffs
Pricing will be on a per Kbyte basis rather than on a per minute basis, which means charges are based on the amount of information (data) you send and/or receive.
This information (data) is measured in kilobytes. A kilobyte is the equivalent of 1,024 bytes, which is the standard used to measure units of data, e.g. 1 byte is equal to 1 character (ie the letters GPRS = 4 bytes).

The available GPRS/3G packages are below. Please note that the plan available to you will depend on your Pay Monthly Option. If you do not wish to pay GPRS/3G monthly rental, you will automatically pay as you use.

    GPRS/3G Pay Monthly Charges

GPRS/3G Option Monthly Fee GPRS/3G connections outside your inclusive volume (charged per KB)

"Pay as you use" GPRS/3G 0 2c/KB up to 512 KBs and 0.5c/KB for any usage over 512KBs.
    GPRS 3/3G (3 Megabyte) No carryover €11.99 €3 Megabyte [0.3c/KB]
    6 MB bundle €18.00 €2.50 Megabyte [0.24c/KB]

There is a minimum charge of 10KB per GPRS/3G connection.

    Ready To Go GPRS

Your RtG GPRS pricing is incorrect. It's actualy €2 per MB

(i'm aware your pricing is directly from the Vodafone website but that's also incorrect).

?2 per MB cannot be correct. voda ready to go gprs is more expensive than o2 rtg gprs and o2 is ?9 something. where did you get this ?2 info from?

It's €2 per MB while using a pre-paid data sim.

Bit of mis-information, but technically still true!

Are you talking about a usual ready to go vodafone sim here? Or what do you mean by a "pre-paid data sim"?

A pre-paid (or RtG) sim card is acquired from IT resellers for Vodafone's Pre-Paid 3G Mobile Connect Card service. The sim itself would be technically the same, it's just that starting off you'd get a different credit allocation once registering.

Vodafone don't offer prepaid mobile connect cards in store, that's taken care of by their IT resellers.
