URGENT! Assistance Required

Hi All!!!!

I'm in a bit of a rut! I just bought some new PC components from Komplett (included a new Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard and OCZ PC5400 DDR-II RAM), but I cannot power on my new PC due to memory/BIOS problems with the new motherboard.

I've encountered a few people with the same problem, but apparently it's fixed in the new release of the BIOS.

Is there anyone around the Gorey/Arklow/even south Dublin region with DDR-II RAM who might be able to spare a single stick of DDR-II RAM for a shortwhile so that I can at least get my system powered on so that I can flash the BIOS?

Komplett and Gigabyte are just playing silly buggers, and if I have to wait for them it'll be months before I get it resolved!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

You may be able to power up if you ensure the front-side bus speed jumpers are set correctly on the motherboard for whatever memory you have. There was a typo in my installation guide giving the processor speed settings in place of the front-side bus settings, and it worked fine after I downloaded the revised manual.

Unfortunately, these new boards are completely jumperless - so I cannot change any setting at all! Looks like loads of people have been caught out with this as the first 3 revisions of the BIOS all had this problem.
