Ok I am starting this thread mainly to ask a question of the good memembers of this board. Where can you get EVP anazlised?. I have just come back from a pyschic reading and am feeling quite up beat. At the end of the reading she let me listen to a tape she has where she seemly has a spirit voice on it. This voice comes to her on her meditation tape and it is clearly heard on it. The only problem is it is in a different lanagaue and she cannot understand the message been given. She has sent it to some paranormal group in Ireland but they said she may get it sent to England. So I told her I would ask here if anyone knew where she may get this solved. If anyone knows of anyone who could do this for her could they pm me the details and I will gladly pass them on to her.

I did not want to single anyone out, I was hoping someone would pm me if they were interested but I might pm dip to see if he is.

DIB (with a "b" at the end!!!) would be happy to help if the recording is in digital format. If it's on a cassette tape then I would have to see if there is somewhere that can convert it to a digital format as I don't think I even have a cassette deck in my house anymore!! This is why digital voice recorders are your best bet for investigations. The recordings are easier to analyze and there is no background hiss or noise like that which is often found on analogue recordings.

It is on a cassette tape. Would need to be cleared up a bit but the voice can difinately be clearly heard on it.

Ok well if you can get teh tape to me I can convert it to digital, put it on a CD and pretty much hand it to dib as he lives 5 minutes from me.

I am just waiting on a phone call from her at the moment to see if I can get the tape to you guys. I just want to make sure it is ok to pass over her name and number via pm to be on the safe side. Thanks guys I am sure it will be appreciated.

Ok kshiel, was just talking to her (very nice lady) and shes sending the tape up. I'll get it onto disc and check out the language, then dib you can have a look at cleaning it up?

Ok I got this tape and will be transfering it over to digital format. I'm make arrangements to get it to dib and we'll see what happens.

Ok this is done. If i can get dib to clean it up that would be great but I have the 30 seconds of talking transcribed.

I got the first 0sec to 7sec easy enough and from 26sec to 29sec but from 7sec to 26sec was weird ... at first.

The I played it backwards and cleaned it up a bit and i got it all.

Obviously I have to talk to the owner of the tape before I give the details here

The language is english and the man speaking it sounds english and very well spoken ... i would put him in his 40s. I must say though I am not sure this is a spirit voice at the moment, that will depend on my chat with the owner.

Excellent. I could here he was well spoken on the tape but I could not understand what was been said, just goes to show you can't always trust your ears.

Sounds interesting. Is it clear enough for you then or do you still need something done with it?

Well I can mail it over to you but its in .mov format at present. Its in a 3.3MB zip file.

Its only 30 secs long but I have it seperated into 3 files because the middle clip needs to be plaed backwards. Maybe you could splice it together and clean out some noise?
