Youtube and animal cruelty

Apparently some twat in Belfast bit the head of a live mouse and started to eat the head at a party , it was recorded , and put up on youtube. Apparently this form of animal cruelty is becoming popular, so as to become famous, in a "Dirty Sanchez" way ! I hate animal cruelty, also i thought mice were vermin, and could carry disease .

I just finished reading the eveninh herald tab. Seen that article and it made my stomach turn a bit. I cant believe sum1 can just kill an animal for fun, like the creature would of felt horrible pain while dying, sick stuff.

If a friend of mine did that stuff, besides from ending the friendship i would completely lose my temper and most likely strike them hard. Its no different than just kicking dogs or drowing cats.
I kinda assume torturing animals is only a few steps away from physically abusing a person. I couldnt inflict pain needlessly on a fish. heck i kill bees/other things if i see them dying slowly just to end it.

If that's you attitude then I doubt you would be friends with someone like that in the first place. There's obviously something wrong with someone who does that kind of thing and I'm sure it shines in their other behaviour too.
A few years ago I saw a teenager sneak up behind a cat and give it a serious kick. I walked over asked him why he did it and then punched in really hard in the face and knocked him over. I can't understand why someone can do that to animals. But there's loads of people on here who think it's funny and would accuse you and I of not having a sense of humour.

While I have no time for the love every creature great and small crowd or the sad people who like animal cruelty; At the end of the day its only mouse.

I just think it's a sick thing to do. Not for the mouse or anything, but for the fact that all that stuff would be in his mouth afterwards. Ugh, I could never do something like that. Also, I wouldn't wanna hurt the animal...

Theres an awful lot worse videos going around than a guy biting the head off a mouse, saw one of a guy taking a chainsaw to a live pig before on a friends camera phone..sickening..all for this "Dirty Sanchez/Jackass" type "stunts" that seem to be so popular these days.
I couldn't be held responsible for how I reacted if I saw someone taking part or carrying out such an act. Then we'd see whos laughing.

the way is see it is, there is a huge difference between killing a mouse in a trap and biting its head off. same with the pig thing.
it takes a special type of deranged person to kill an animal in that way. i'm sure you have all heard those stories of the serial killers who used to torture animals when they were young.

Mmm, like that one talked about here a few months back, with the highheel and the kitten... I never actually watched it (I don't think it was on youtube), just reading the comments about it was enough... euurgghh :mad:

Also the vid of those animals being skinned alive for the fur trade... that one I did watch... pretty horrible, but at least that video had some message/purpose other than some sick gratification.

Though tbh, I personally haven't encountered any animal cruelty vids on youtube... only damn cute vids

Tar, i was joking, thus the eating mice comment.
i would be happy to discuss the pros and cons of meat eating with you, if you want.
i have a vegan friend and have had plenty of discussions on the subject with him.

just for the record though, i believe animals should only be killed if they are going to be eaten. otherwise it's fairly pointless.
