need help with this, upgraded to Opera 9 and it's set itself up as my default bitorrent program, how can I prevent it from doing this ?

I've checked the preferences and can't see anything obvious.

start >> settings >> control panel >> folder options >> file types tab >> scroll down to torrent file >> click change and change to whatever torrent client you use.

You can also just use the right-click "Save As" item in the menu when downloading torrents.

also to open torrents with an external application from within opera

tools -> preferences -> advanced -> downloads -> uncheck "hide file types opened with opera" -> applications/x-bittorent -> edit -> open with other application
