My missus and I headed over to Cineworld tonight to see Severance. We got there a little late but before the lights went out and it was fairly damn packed! We were struggling to see two seats that were together when some guy in front of us got up out of his seat and offered it to us, as the seat beside him was unoccupied.
Ok it was a small thing, but I really appreciated it as it meant we could sit together and he didn't have to do it. It's nice that some people are still well just nice.

    Fair play to him.

Oh I've often done that for people in the cinema...

Well then your a most decent person Sir. With so many people these days being so full of themselves and so opinionated, it's just nice that people can still be pleasant to each other.

I'd feel super awkward if I was forcing two people to seperate like that by not moving.

You could always take the oppurtunity to avail of their candy and/or beverages from your position between the couple ;)

But yeh, ive done it a few times... id hate to be the guy who keeps lovebirds apart.

dont think its ever came up with me.

But I use to always go sunday afternoon or late at night. So couples (or even a full cinema was rare)

If I got at a popular time its usually because I've been pulled along in a group.

Though I have for the first time ever actually gone on a date to the cinema, which I cant understand since I found going out and playing one on one pool to be more constructive to a relationship and it was too full to take advantage of the other *merit* of couple cinema.

Yeah I do that when the cinema is packed. No point in having a seat either side of you or either side of you and the people that you are with when two people want to sit down.

It's not like its a hard thing to do.

Shouldn't this be moved to the 'Good Things That Happened to Me In Cineworld' forum?

    Oh wait....
