    Guys,

I have the sat finder that I got off Tony on Satellite.ie but I cannot seem to setup SKY digital using this sat finder at all.
I have it connected as per the instructions but no matter when I point the dish I still don't seem to be able to pick up any signal!!

My Skybox works fine, could it be my LNB or am I just not using the sat finder correctly?

    thanks

The satellites are over 22,500 miles away.

You power the sat finder from your receiver and connect other side to LNB with a short cable. Make sure the correct way round.

Adjust the "volume" knob for half scale signal.

Wiggle the dish slowly east west at a fixed vertical angle, nearly straight. Try again with different tilt. If you have the wrong satellite (20 to 30 possible) then the pre tuned channels won't work. Often a Sky box needs turned on/off if it had no signal.

See roughtly the diection other dishes point (Sky is nearly exactly south east).

As you find a satellite, reduce the "volume" knob to keep the signal level in the middle to fine tune.

Thanks watty, that is roughly the way I was doing it but I will give it a whirl again.
    Thanks
