Win/Loose/Win/Loose - Variance or Bad Play

My play has been up and down like a yo yo the last 2-3 weeks and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it is varience. I know I've made a couple of big mistakes that have cost a fair bit, and maybe this has me on tilt thinking I have to make my money back.

I recently started paying a lot of attention to the table that I'm playing at. Trying to figure out what the players that I'm playing with are like. Seeing who I can raise, seeing who not to raise into. Seeing who makes contination bets a lot of the time, you get my drift.

This was a turning point in my game, and I started doing a lot better when I started to observe these things. But recently I've dropped a couple of buy in's, and I'm starting to question my 'plays' again.

Do you have any advise for me regarding the following? I am usually tight aggressive or ultra-aggressor

I'm not sure whether I have to
    1) Play only good hands in good positions
    2) Adjust my betting (I'm playing .25/50. and at present my bets are: 1.50/2 raises, 3/3.5 continuation bets)
    3) Re-create a tight aggressive table image (maybe I'm playing too many hands, noticed my VPIP was at 30 the other day, but most days it's at 20-25. I use to be rated in PT as TA but now I'm ultra aggressor)
    4) Make more plays at people I think will fold
    5) Play when I have at least 2 hours on my hands

Some help would be appreciated here, I have felt I've lost my grip, but could just be variance and a couple of bad plays.

stop playing for a while and do something else..it'll all come back when you feel like returning

Take a break for a week to get the tilt out of your system. Don't waste a few more buyins before stoping, do it straight away. Then tighten up when you come back. You can beat .25/.50 fairly easily by nut peddling. Be strict on what hands you play preflop. Don't bluff. Bet hard with your good hands.

This is probably just a bad downswing (taking a break myself at the moment because of this). A few buyins is nothing to be worried about, happens to everyone.

do points 1,3 and 5, point 2 is fine as it is, and dont do point 4 at those stakes.

Thanks for the good advise, I'll do some surfing and drinking (not at same time) for a couple of days and get back to it next week. It's hard to stay away, but it will be good to clear the mind!

    Cheers!
