    This is important advice for those who post here not wanting to get too big. Over the months various posters claim they want to put on size but don't want to get too big.
    When you post your diets of bran flakes, jam tarts and tuna sambo's you already on a downward spiral towards musclemania, you need to be carfeul that using that diet and mixing it with the advice you get off this board that it just may make you super big... don't say you haven't been warned.

    After a 3 weeks this man (pictured) got way too big..

    rc202.jpg

    and may now be in the process of sueing boards.ie.

    Yes this is a piss take... i just love when people post that or say it to me in the shop - not knowing it takes YEARS of sh1t hard training, savage dieting and unbelievabale dedication.

    so don't worry.. you will not get 'too big'

    :cool:

    :D:D:D well said Jon!!! yeah, getting 'big' is actually a very difficult thing to do, and I don't think people realise that. In the same vein girls who lift will not turn into Arnie overnight either :rolleyes:

    Oh you can get too big in the 'fat' sense alright but overly muscular?? very, very hard to boys, seriously.

    Here he is before the three weeks...
    info1.jpg

    After working out for a week he looked like this...
    tyson.jpg

    But then he used whey & creatine! Idiot.

    ...and yes, working out can drastically change your facial features - so you can go from looking like Mr. Rock to Mr. Coleman.

    Edit: I really hate that picture of coleman.

    nice post :D

    I totally understand what you're saying. I have been training for a long time. Training hard with good people. I understand the lengths that serious body-builders (even those who are a million miles away from the standard of Ronnie) need to go to to bulk up.

    I was just making the point that this year in particular I've added a lot of lean muscle to my upper body. I did this for several reasons, one being that I thought it would improve my competition karate, which I feel it did.

    Saying that, I don't need/want to increase my size anymore. I just want to MAINTAIN the gains that I have made, and to lower my bodyfat percentage.

    Thats why I came here looking for advice...

    If that's 3 weeks I'd hate to see what he looks like after 3 months :D
    LOL, great post!

    Ronnie just looks so bloated, it's like there is someone pumping air into him behind the stage... or maybe he has trapped wind ;) Give me the natural look anyday!

    Typically he used to put on about 40lbs off-season, so fairly big. He also apparently takes about 2 months holidays/year (holidays from gear, supplements, training etc.) and shrinks down a lot - so I guess it depends when you meet him?

    Off-season (I've seen him a fair bit chubbier than this too);

    its funny the amount of 9 stone something six foot plus guys i hear saying "i want to put on weight, but i like i don't want to end up looking like a bodybuilder or something"

    if only they knew!

    I'm 6'1" and only 13st 8lbs and skinny. I bust my ass trying to put on muscle and people keep telling me "you don't want to get too big/muscular". I think all board members should start smacking these people when they say stupid s**t like this.

    I remember when i was younger seeing a guy walking up grafton street,he was about 5' 5'' and he literally couldnt put his arms down by his sides,his traps started just below his ears and his face was brick red with veins popping out of his forhead,he must've spent a fortune to look like that and tthe reaction from EVERYBODY was to stop and stare at him a she walked by,i dont recall anybody saying "Hey,doesnt he look good".

    Classic stuff. My other half used to say that to me a good while ago. When I told her I was going back to the gym after about a year off. "Don't get too big now!" - Ah its always funny the way people think you can go that size in 6 months...

    mine start just behind them - I think everyone's do :rolleyes:
    j/k - I know what you mean!

    Maybe that was the reaction he wanted? Do people stop on the street and say that you look good*?

    *this only happens to me afaik. :D

    I think many of the really big bodybuilders look terrible - WAY worse than Ronnie. Very few have managed to put on that kind of size and keep good aesthetics. Flex is probably the best example of someone who did;
    normal_1.jpg

    ...and if you don't think that that looks cool, or think he looks 'too big' then I must respectfully disagree.
