Seemed like the best place to ask this...

Basically I've been trying to remember the name of an old game I used to play on the PC years ago. It was set in a tv station and you had to go from room to room and do quizzes and things. There was a weather quiz and a wheel of fortune type thing..

I know that's pretty vague and google hasn't been of any help but if anyone can help me out here it'd be very much appreciated!

Try http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/tv-game-show-games ya might find it on there, very extensive list of old games , sorted by genre sub-genre etc...exhaustively

Was it FMV-based? Full of "zany" characters?

Hmm nope thats not it. Thanks though.

The game isn't related to any actual tv shows. It's just set in a tv station.

I'll keep searching that site. I remember the main character you controlled was dressed very weird - like he had his face covered with a scarf. He had really big feet and a gun that you zapped things with. You went up and down the elevator too. The music was like one of the nokia ring-tones...

No idea why it popped into my head recently but it's been wrecking it ever since...

    DOS or Windoze ?

Any idea of the year/publisher/catch phrase ?

i have a dim recollection of a game called Movie, which featured a dude with a scarf & hat ... does that ring a bell ?

Very early 90's I think. I remember playing the Indiana Jones games around the same time...maybe after. For some reason the words "-o-vision" seem to pop into my head too.

    Nope, thanks though.

Still no joy. Maybe it'll magically come back to me someday. :)
