The Squad system?

Hi
can someone help explain the Squad system to me.. I just started playing yesterday (bf2).. can I use voice comms only within the squad? and I was flying a chopper around, I think my own teammates were spawning on the chopper?

Also, if I am an engineer and I am flying the chopper will I automatically repair it while I am in it?

The squad members can spawn on their respective squad leader only, so keeping him alive is important if your squad is trying to take an area/flag.

They can still squad on the SL if the SL is in a vehicle up untill the max capacity of that vehicle.

Voice comms can only be used inside a squad as far as i know

They can repair the transport helis if they go to the back of it and whip out their wrench, not sure if its automatic never looked at the manual myself but it might be in there

You can only repair your own vehicle by getting out of it and repairing it with your trusty spanner.

You will repair all other vehicles being used by your teammates simply by being in near proximity to them.

VOIP is between squad mates and from squad leader to commander and vice versa.

And if you're an engineer, you can repair a Black Hawk from within the vehicle. Just sit in the back (not on a minigun), take out your wrench, look at the inside wall of the chopper and hold down the left mouse button.

Unfortunately you still can't thwack enemies on the head with the wrench.
