It's nice to know that RTÉ are broadcasting the All-Ireland finals in DRM to Western Europe.

It would be nicer to know what frequency they are using! Anyone have any ideas?

Where did you hear this? I would guess 612 if its on AM, as its the only high power allocation we aren't using right now...

There was talk of using 252kHz in the past..

...except 252 is down as being for standard AM there.

In the latter days of 2FM on 612 it could barely be got in coastal regions of Ireland, let alone Western Europe. Unless they've been doing work in Athlone I couldn't see it getting far.

So is the DRM coverage definitely on 612 kHz or are the actual frequency and broadcasting times a secret?

Maybe this week end I'll get my DRM convertor wired. Choice of Yaesu FT817 transeiver or Sony ICF2001D receiver. Then Dream software on Laptop as decoder.

Thanks to Simone at the DRMRX forums, the frequencies for September 3 were 9795KHz and 9770KHz. It looks like it went pretty well, using the high quality mode A at 18.44kbps too – I hope some powerful people were impressed enough to reach for their cheque books ;-)

There's a photograph there of the text message suggesting the next one will be on SW too.
