Right I dont really know if there is a point to this post, but I need to vent.

I've moved over to England and am currently living in Cambridge, trying desperatly to get a job (any job) so I can support myself. So far its been pretty much a brickwall except for one interview which i didnt get the job due to lack of qualification. Now I originally swore when I came over that I would not go back to working in food related occupation (fast food/kitchen staff, where all my previous experiance is) as I detested the time I worked there and want to experiance new kind of work. Sadly due to my poor track record of finding a job (been here a month and a half now) I've bitten the bullet and started applying to all the fast food oppurtunities as well.

anyhow I came to applying in a new position that popped up in my local SPAR (it only appeared yesterday) for kitchen staff, and I popped in not 30 minutes ago and the response I recieved was. "That job's too girly" I wasnt handed an application form or told to hand in CV. Just the job is too girly and that was the end of it.

Now I'm pretty sure you can't do that these days? But I also dont know if its worth making a fuss over a job where I'll be working with people who I probably wont get on with.

    /rant over.
