    I need to find out about a drug called Cytotec......wether it can be bought without prescription? Anyone know anything about it or if its available over the counter?

    I think it has to be prescribed by the doctor.

    I would imagine a drug like that would have to be prescribed, yes...

    I wouldn't like the side affects!

    that drug is pretty dangerous in my opinion. remember thalidomide and diethylstilbesterol? they had serious detrimental effects on fetuses in pregnant women. cytotec is a similar drug in that its a racemic mixture of both diastereomers, containing 50% of the dextrorotary and levorotary enantiomers the chemical. in most cases of such drugs, only one form of it has the desired pharmacological effect and the other form is understudied with respect to same. the drug is prescription only and is very rarely indicated due to a whole myriad of interactions with other drugs and food constituents (such as caffeine)
