Can this setup record tv without me being present ????

OK ill give you the specs of my set up and then ill explain the problems im having ..

• Hitachi 42PD6600 42 PLASMA
• PC :Aopen p60 MCE
• NTL DIGITAL
• Programmable Universal Modulator
• Microsoft media centre keyboard

ok then the pc only has an coax input on it intergrated tv card . it is both anolog and digial , so far ive been just using the normal NTL channels but now i want to watch and record the digital channels so i went out today and spent 50€ and got one of these in Maplins , It more or less transforms the scart to coax output ..which is fine it works well with not to much of a drop of in quality . when i go into the settings in my media centre it only shows up the one unknown channel .when i want to change the channel i have to use the NTL remote . I have added a remote sensor to the microsoft IR and placed the small red receiver onto the front of the NTL box but it wont pick it up , on the old larger box in worked fine but with the new NTL"pace" box im finding it hard to get it set up ...same with my AV Senders they worked well with the bigger box but with the small pace box its not changing the channels
So is there any way i can get this set ups EPG and get it to go to the channels which i want to record without me sitting here and manually changing the stations with the NTL remote and having to be present when when i want to record a program or isthere something here im missing ..PLS help

you need to go to mce settings and set up the tv again.

Go into settings, Media Centre setup.

Also, be sure you are fully up to date, in particular Rollup2. It came out in november last year so you should be fine.
