Regulator/Rectifier Testing VFR800 '98>

Does anyone know how to test a Regulator/Rectifier from a VFR800 using a multimeter. I know how to do the max voltage check on the battery- its checking the resistance in the Reg/Rec that I want info on. Cheers,
