You don't think I fold out everything except Ad/Kd? (and the Kd folds sometimes too).

I fold out lots of hands that are better then mine and the villians haven't acted like they have either of the cards that call. So whats wrong with it?

What do you expect to be called by? sum1 could have checked the K or 10 of diamonds, with intention of calling any bet, and even if they dint i would tend to call the large overbet with even a 10 of diamonds.

Also there is a bad beat/BOAST thread available

    Here here.
Too many low content "look at my big bluffing balls of steel" threads at the moment.
This is pretty standard, although I hate the push. Bet the pot and fold to a raise. No point in putting your whole tank at risk when the only hands that fold for 177 fold for 75 too.

This is the wrong question to ask. The question you should be asking is "Whad do you expect to fold?" If I can get enough diamonds to fold this can be a +EV push.

Thank you for this information. If I feel the need to use it I'm sure I will. I didn't realise that discussions on the expected value of certain poker hands were supposed to be posted in there.

Again, could you point out the part of this thread in which I asked for people to praise me or congradulate me on this play? Just to clarify, though I thought it was fairly obvious, when I asked "Do you like my bluff?" I was asking for a discussion of the hand, not for people to heap praise on me.

This is one of the things that I figure could perhaps be interesting about this play. I think it is possible that a Kc or Tc will look you up if I simply pot it. A push means anyone who wants to look you up must put more of their chips on the line. Also I think a push just looks more fearless and nuts like. I could be completely wrong.

a push can also look like you don't want a call

I think pot-sized is better. You only have to get away with it more than 1 in 3 times, whereas by pushing, you must get away more often than 1 in 2.44 times. I think that without any reads, this move is probably not the best. For all you know he may not be able to fold a ten-high flush.

I attempted a very similar move last night, I bet the pot and was called by the nine-high flush.

I'm not sure there's alot to discuss about this hand.
The only way to know if it's good play or not is for Villains to truthfully say they folded the Td/Kd/Xd. If you get called you are beaten. If they fold then they didn't have it in any case.

If this is what you meant, then make it more obvious in your OP and then replies will be more direct to your hand and the questions you ask.

It is pretty safe to say that a K of diamonds didnt fold, because no1 had it, and being honest i would find an all in overbet more suspicious than a pot size or even a "value bet" on the river. if you had the nuts, y woul dyou go all in like so cand scare off a caller?? i understand you were trying to double bluff with your disguise, but would you have honestly made the exact same move if you had the nuts??

True, I probably wouldn't. I guess it depends alot on the levels of thinking that my opponents are capable of. If I can make them think that I am making them think that it is a bluff when really it is the nuts, then I can get them to fold. I doubt the average 200NL player is capable of that.

I think I'm going to stop making this move.

    Ok thanks everyone.
