    STT - 7 handed

    Stacks (approx):
    Me (C/O):3300
    SB : 2000
    BB : 1800

    Blinds: 30/60

SB, BB are quite tight. I have played hardly any hands so far and the only hand I've shown down is KK. I don't know whether these guys have noticed tbh.

I get dealt Q7s in the C/O and decide to have a go at the blinds. (bad idea?)

    I raise to 200.

SB reraises to 480, BB calls. Pot is now 1160 and it's costing me 280 to call, giving me odds of 7:1. I will also have position.

So should I call even though I must be way behind at this stage?

easy call. not only are you getting pot odds you can't just fold to what is basically a min raise. You're c/o and button raises will get no respect and you'll be reraised with crap from blinds if they've any cop on.

Your pot odds are nothing like 7:1.
    They're a little over 4:1.
    Call anyway, as you say.

    Hold on,

    my raise = 200
    SB call + reraise = 480
    BB Call = 480

    Total = 1160
    ?
If I call the pot will be 1160+200=1360
I have to put in another 200 so am I not getting 1360/200?

Could be wrong but I think you are getting 1160/200. If you count your call as in the pot then you are getting even odds to put money in an empty pot which can't be right.

Sh!t. Firstly, it's another 280, not 200. But in any case, do I not count the 280 extra I'm putting in as part of the entire pot?

    *looks embarressed*
