I was under the impression you had to get acid free card and thats why I thought camera shops would stoock them.

Ok so what am I looking for then?

no bother.. do let me know if you find out anything about the acid free board thing.. I'd like to know if all my mounted prints are going to melt someday :D

Went up to O'Sulivans there yesterday and had a look around. They did not have any cut mont boards but they did have A1 boards which I was trying to avoid. Always seem to get them wrong .

    Bought 4 A1 mountbaords which are acid/bleach free @ 5Euro each.

Now later on today I'll try cut them straight :)

Do yourself a favour and invest in something like this. It makes cutting beveled mounts an absolute doddle

    Thanks JMcL

May well just do that but it would be so much better is stores stocked pre cut boards it's just such a waste I was getting 2 16x12in boards from one sheet of A1 with loads of scrap.

Might get them form the het next time there's bound to be somewhere that sells them.

Definately... I reckon I've more than made back the cost of mine over buying the more expensive pre-cut mounts.
