How to get Ch4 & Ch5 working on FTV Card

Hi all

I have a SKY UK FTV card for about 2 years now and haven't used it in maybe 2-3 months.I tried it last night and the ch4 & 5 are not working.I got an error message but can't rem.Any ideas how to reactivate the card?

leave the card in for 48 hrs or so (leave reciever turned on also)
that should do it.:)

I recently bought a freesat card second hand of somebody on adverts.ie and i can get all the bbc's, itv etc.., but channel 4&5 aren't there. It just goes from 103 to 106 with 104 and 105 blank. Is this the same problem?

You have three options with such a card

1) Activation by modem (Services 4-01-New installation) YOU MUST BE IN THE UK FOR THIS TO WORK
2) Activation by telephone Call $ky on +448708 500033 with your card number (If outside the UK you MUST set your phone up to WITHOLD CALLER ID)
3) Use the "add channels/other channels" method to get Ch 4 and 5 (this only works sometimes)

It just gives a channel description. The usual thing you get when you're not subscribed to a channel.

Where can i get the info on how to tune them in using the "Add Channels" Function?

Frequencies for Ch 4 are 12.168 Vertical 27500 2/3
Frequencies for Ch 5 are 12.304 Horizontal 27500 2/3

Sometimes it does work (it did on my old BBC FTV card but not on my Freesat card)

Thanks everybody for the info. I managed to tune Channel 4 and Five in and have it in the "other channels" menu but not in the EPG.

I have two FTV cards that are the same no CH 4 or Five one EPG. EPG goes from 103 ITV to 106 Sky One. No 104 or 105. I view CH4 and Five in other channels with no problem. Have had these cards for 3 years and never have been able to get CH4 and Five on the EPG.

I'm guessing a glitch somewhere. My box is pretty old. That could have something to do with it, maybe?
