Just wondering if many people here use them?

I'm tempted to get one but the price is putting me off and not sure which ones are suitable for use with Mac. Any suggestions/recommendation?

Due to smashing my right wrist in a fall several years ago I can't use a mouse for very long without pains shooting up and down my arm. So I bought a Wacom Graphire. I'm totally chuffed with it. For just working in general, I find it much quicker and more accurate and comfortable than a mouse. It's just the right size for a cramped desk. If your work involves a lot of keyboard useage, anything bigger could get in the way as you switch between pad and keyboard. A friend has an A4 Cintiq and he has his keyboard on a wierd cradle above the pad.

It's not so hot for some games though so I keep my old apple puck handy.

I'm not an artist but I do have to do some of graphical work and it totally rules in Photoshop and Inkscape.

Yeah, I used to have a Wacom Graphire 2, used it for years, thought it was great, but eventually got rid of it because the tablet was small enough, and limited my movement. It also needed a fair bit of cleaning to stop the mouse sticking to it. Otherwise great.

I'm using my second Wacom Intuos (had an old Intuos 1 A5 and upgraded to an Intuos 2 A4) they are fantastic. If you do any work with graphics then it will change your whole computing experience for the better.
