    hey all,

I'm planning my trip to South America, starting with Argentina i think, and hoping to travel north from there.

WOuld anyone have any advise for me, as in what kind of budget is needed for over there, places to go/not to go, what to bring, how long it would take o get to know each place properly from Argentina to say Columbia...

Any advice/tips/memories of personel travels are very welcome.

    Thanks.

In Iquique, Chile at the moment, Bolivia was the best place I went so far. Budget bout E30 per day for Argentina, 30-40 for Brazil, Chile and E20-30 for Bolivia add a bit more for tours etc. This fofr fairly comfortable but not on the Razz every night. Without doubt the best things we did

    1 Pampas Tour Rurrenabaque
    2 Salt Tour Uyuni
3 Favela Tour with company bealocal.com, the motortaxi up would be worth the money alone
4 World most Dangerous Road with Gravity Bikes

Peru, Book the Inca Trail before you go, I thought it was really expensive before I left but getting to Machu Picchu by itself is costly, $70 for the train alone and then $30 for entrance, but Cusco was the best town we have been. Went to Paddy Flathertys pub and Jack Cafe for the best, it was the only time we went to Irish place making a point of staying away but it was worth it in Cusco

NZ in 2 weeks, time has flown here

leaving for Argentina on the 13th. doing the same as you want to do.
staying there for 6 months and going on to NZ for a year.
got our ticket thru trailfinders a couple of months ago.
roughly a grand to get to NZ. not too bad i think.

    Hi folks.

Heading to S. America in April/May for a couple of months and so far only know that Bolivia is where i want to spend the bulk of my time.

However, was wondering where else i should take in in that time.

Was thinking of maybe flying into Buenos Aires and travelling north to Iguazu Falls and then over to Bolivia and out through Peru.

Another option would be to just go into Lima, see Peru and go into Bolivia and back home through Lima again.

Was Wondering, what parts of Argentina are worth seeing besides B.A and Iguazu Falls. is the trip northward to Ig. Falls a nice route (and is Uruguay worth it?).

Know everything that i want to see in Bolivia but not sure what routes before and after Bolivia are worth doing so any suggestions would be most welcome.

    Thanks

    K
