    Hi Guys,

Last night in a fit of rage my laptop was thrown from my send floor apartment window by my now ex girlfriend..it is totally wrecked.

I am wondering if any of you now any good pc repair shops in Dublin where i can take the remains of my laptop to see if any of the information on the hard drive can be recovered. I bought it from Dell about a year ago and it was an inspiron 6000 before the carnage.

    Thanks a lot,

If that happened to me she'd have hit the ground shortly after the laptop....but to answer your question try golden pages for the 'ol repair companies, could try going back to Dell under warranty.....*snigger*...was the laptop on when it ejected the room?

I dont fancy my chances under the warranty..i am just going to buy a new one..thankfully the laptop was turned off when it was ejected as you say from the premises.

You can buy a 3.5>2.5 adapter or a 2.5 USB enclosure for very little so you could plug the drive into a standard PC and see if its working. It might be.

    Alternatively...http://www.computersunlimited.ie/ never used them myself.
