Problem With Tornado 5200's

Dad just phoned me with this problem. They recieved 7 Nvidia Tornado 5200's all in machines now and seemed to be working fine.
He took one of the machines to the site and plugged it into a different monitor to the one that the pc had been setup on. It shows all the startup info but as soon as the XP screen starts to come up the pc restarts. He plugged in the orginal monitor used to set the pc up and it worked fine  .
He says all the cards are doing the same thing, surely this cant be right? Is there a setting that may have been changed?

    Cheers for any help
    Endo

Put them in 640x480 then plug them into the different monitors ?

yeah sounds like the original monitors are set to a higher default resolution then the other monitors are. Boot the pc with the original monitors, and chang the resolution down as low as possible, then move them to the other monitors, all will be fine then :)

You can enter VGA mode by pressing F8 on startup.

Are the PC's actually rebooting? Sounds odd if that is the case.

Were they originally running with onboard gfx?

    Is it disabled?

Edit: Just reread your post there, seems that couldn't be it. Are they running on DVI or VGA?

Cheers for all the replys lads. The pc's where setup on 17" lcd's and we then plugged in CRT screens. Im thinking it may have to do with the resolution.
They are running on VGA. Ill get the pops to try change the resolution at the office to something lower and then give it a bash.

Yea, if the resolution was set incorrectly the monitors would just not display anything. Can't see the PC resetting because of that.
