Hmmm playing the poker cup at the weekend and I would like some opinions as to how badly I played this hand...cheers!

Nearing the end of level 2 have built stack up to around 15k. Limper utg and I am in in mp with AcQc and as the limper utg has been very tight, I decided to limp and take a cheap flop as opposed to facing a re-raise. So there is limper utg, myself, button and two blinds in the hand.

Flop comes KcQh6c so I have middle pair and nut flush draw, everyone checks to button who bets 500 into 500 pot. Everyone folds and I call, turn brings a 10d so at this point I have middle pair, flush draw and gut-shot straight draw, I check and button bets 2k in 1.5k pot, it's around here where I have a brain-fart. I think about it for a while and was about to pass but then I had the idea of raising him so I push 10k into the middle OPINIONS???

He insta pushes all his chips in to the pot for what was about 11k altoghether and turns over KQ for top two pair and I manage to miss all my outs come the river.

    Any opinions welcome-thanks a lot!!!

I think you should have bet or even re-raised the flop instead of the turn. I dont see much point to this move on the turn though as it was looking more obvious you were'nt going to get him off his hand by this stage.

I don't like the push, it didnt really make sense. I can't imagine him putting you on straight or a set here.

What did you feel he was betting with?

Erm he had being playing a lot of hands and was playing with the likes of Kx Ax etc and I thought I could take him off a lot of hands he could possibly have as he had about 9k back behind him, which didn't leave him committed to the pot and if he did call I wouldn't be drawing dead and had a lot of cards to win on the river-any club, jack or ace would have won the hand.

But I do realise it was a donk-push and should have folded especially so early in the game when there is absolutely no need to be making such moves!

It just probably seemed to him like the push came from nowhere, what were you trying to represent? the straight? Would he be betting K-crap so strong here? All the 10 could have helped here is either TT or gutshot straight draw on the flop, either of which you probably would have folded to the pot sized bet.
