^ that thread is just one of many many many similar threads and posts i made this time last year (well not this exact time since i didnt get into trinity til the 4th round!) these threads (on page 3/4 of the archive) consisted of me being a total ****head. Just look through the threads and see.

Why didn't you ban me? i cringe looking at them posts i can't believe that i thought like that, what was wrong with me?!

THe point of this thread is to tell incoming first years not to have expectations or pre judgements of going to college because it is totally different to what you expect. ANd going to trinity is a good thing not a bad thing sincce its small, friendly, has no lectures during fresher's week, has no modularisation, has access to the eurosaver menu and is one bus journey! among many many many more things.

Part of the reason for that attitude had got to do with people from school who are nnow either dropping out of their colleges, have dropped out (including trinity) or having a horrible time!

Thanks (a year late!) to all the moderators for having the patience to put up with me (Nietzhahsgan and Crash_000).

Did he really say that by the way? I can't remember him saying that. I don't think he phrased it like that anyway! Probably more along the lines of you'll get better opportunities now or something. Just remembering now, how much of a joke maths was.

lol, in all likely hood , he wasn't a mod. But ye know since he's become one he's such a loud mouth they do tend to forget about the rest of us

I was thinking i got it wrong i meant to say Nietzfdgan and Ape Xaviour the mods at that time but thanks to Crash_000 too!

Hi Bartronilic,

Impressive that you linked to that thread, you probably should have ignored it ever existed. It's strange that Trinity students are willing to sarcastically make pretentious comments, where as others believe the hype about the college.

This thread makes clear to me why I should never look over old threads, who knows what enemies I'd remember?

Oh, he said it alright. I don't think he phrased it quite like that, but he told us that by getting into TCD we were immediately better than every other student in the country and made us give ourselves a clap for being so ****ing fantastic (what's more worrying is many people actually did. *sigh*) I distinctly remember it 'cause 1) I was momentarily terrified that all the things people (who hadn't gotten into TCD) had told me about it being a snobby hellhole and BESS being the orange-coated crown of snobby twattery were true (I was disabused of this notion once I located the core of sound people in BESS), and 2) it was my first impression of that particular lecturer, and made me realise what a complete and utter ****ing tool he was right off the bat.
