    Hi All,

I am currently re-wiring my house as part of a rebuild and I wanted to leave provisions in a few places for HD, LCD projectors and a few other bits and bobs!

I need to find somewhere where I can get long HDMI and DVI cables. I would also love to be able to get face-plates so that I could have them neatly organised etc...

Anyone know of anywhere where I can get same?

I have done the usual google search and there are a few places in the states that have the face-plates, but they are all US looking (eg oriented differently to UK/Ireland and with a naf white bevel!)

    Cheers,
    Jab

I have seen plenty of places selling 10m HDMI/DVI cables, maybe even up to 25m.

Search on fleabay, there are plenty of "custom length" cable operators.
Longest that I saw in a shop was 5m in Peats a good few months ago, they might have longer ones now.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the info. Letsautomate.com is definatley an excellent resource (can see myself buying a good bit from them in the future!

However, all of their HDMI / DVI faceplates are the american style ones. Anyone know if anyone is doing UK/Ireland style ones?

I think I have a source for these but they are damn expensive and come in only stainless steel, chrome or brass finish.

they have female connectors both front and rear so you can run standard cables with male connectors in the walls.

Price is likely to be in around 100 euros per faceplate excluding VAT OUCH!

    Anyone interested let me know.
