Dont get a Dell "Truelife" LCD Screen they are Crap

    I just got a dell 6400 inspiron laptop with a truelife screen (it cost me 85euro to "upgrade" to a truelife screen) and it is really crap the screen is like a mirror while it is supposed to be "anti-reflective" (see link below)

    Its also very hard to see in the day time indoors and makes my eyes feel sore after about 10mins.

    Their is noway this screen is a "upgrade" to dells standard laptop screen.

    Has anybody else had the same problems with truelife LCDs ?

    PS Is it possible to reture my dell inspiron and get one with the standard screen ?

    Beg to differ but I bloody love mine! Truelife doesn't really idicate a fancy gloss finish (which I also like ) but besides that it indicates the higher screen resolutions that the LCD can handle.For example mine can handle 1920x1200 which is fantastic for games but not for everyday internet use etc as it makes the text way to small so I use 1280x1024 for normal use and the maximum resolution for games as it makes them all that more better looking :)

    majiktripp, what sort of graphics card do you have in your laptop? I can only drool at the prospect of laptop capable of running games in 1920x1200 res :(

    Regarding TrueLife, I think its great actually...It's not only in DELLs, its in loads of different laptops, and I've always thought it looked brilliant. Very sharp and crisp.

    Nice card - My laptop 7400 does me fine, but at eh... a feeble 1024x768 in most games if I'm lucky :D

    Its a nice card alright,went through a bout of must buy the best....then 1 month later out comes 7800 Go laptop card which rather annoyed me,then the 7900 Go GTX to which I cant upgrade?! Which was annoying...
