Does anyone know the age that you need to buy a kids ticket for Croke Park ? I'd like to bring my almost-3-year-old with me today but don't have a ticket for him. Of course, he can sit on my lap but I don't want to take him if I get turned away at the turnstiles.

    Any advice ?

I don't think they would let him in

ok late for this (in more ways then one :( )

BUT for future reference you can bring him in i have seen much younger kids at the matches so make sure he is there when we win it in 2007 :)

Thanks for the replies. My tickets ended up being hill tickets rather than stand like I thought so it didnt matter in the end.

My fear was that he would be told old to be considered to be able to sit on my lap (without a ticket and seat of his own), not too young to come in at all.

Anyway. No matter. Shocking defeat yesterday, but that's for another thread :)

There's always next year. Best of luck to Mayo. Deserved winners of yesterdays game.

Was'nt there a big thing about this before.

I think - regardless of the childs age you now need a ticket for insurance purposes, at that they will then sell you a €5 ticket in the childrens section.

It is important to note too that this is a far more friendlier section for a 3yo than any other part of the stadium, less cursing, more similar aged kids for him/her to play with.

Aido is perfectly correct. A ticket is required for every child regardless of age to enter Croke Pk for Insurance puropses. They are €5. You could get somebody nice at the turnstiles that may let you and your child in on one ticket but it’s against the rules. If it comes down to it and your arguing with a Supervisor about it you and your child won’t be admitted. Best to be safe and just pay the extra €5
