Took these today while out with my friends...

Im not aware of any boards members that shoot skateboarding and BMX so like you guys might not think its such a great photo whereas I really like them... haha:D

Anyway here goes.. Comments or whatever.. Throw them at me

There going in order of my favourite..

The third is not really over exposed.. the sky was just like that it went from really nice to really overcast and ugly in an hour.... Thats Ireland for you!

Not a photography expert at all (I just know what I like etc...) but I really think the first two are excellent. When Team Boards get to some sort of important match I want you there taking action photos!

Tis a pity about the sky in the third one alright, nice shots all the same. Very well captured.

I like #1 most, #3 is pretty cluttered and #2 could probably make use of a crop.

like the one time i tried shooting skateboarding, i think these too could do witha bit of fill in flash

Pity about the washed out sky in the second and thrid one.

A little tip, use flash for these shots, even in day. It lights up the subject with a slight glow, really helps to make them stand out without looking flat.

I think flash in the first one would have been great!

    Keep it up.

Flash (just a a little) would make a world of difference, but a lot of these guys dont like it when they are "in the zone" as it were. Different if it's a photoshoot.

Crop as close as you like. Then a little closer.

edit: Except your first one. Nice crop.

I'm a sometimes skate/bmx photographer, like everybody else has said fill flash would make a world of difference. But I should stop talking now because I still don't have any externals :p

I wouldn't be to keen on using too much flash if the guys are about to come back down on the board .

Nice shots, you could try getting in closer if possible, maybe with a wide angle lens. I'm not speaking from experience here I'm just interested...
