Max Drive for xbox 360...compatibility q's ???

Does anybody know if the max drive will work with the 360. I heard something about your xbox live a/c going funny if you used peripherals that aren't supposed to be used with the 360. J3:D

First I ever heard of it messing with your account. But then again there is no max drive available officially
