    hi folks,

got a aldi dish setup on astra 2, and most of the channels are breaking up, except bbc and itv and sky, the rest are fun***.
i tried re flashing the firmware and moving the dish, and still whatever i tried i cant get them right?

the dish is clean and no rust or anythin, i moved the lnb near the end of the arm, the middle and the front, but still no improvement.......

Is there any bumps on the surface of the dish? This can have a massive effect on your signal. Where is the dish fixed? Is there any trees or buildings in the way?

View the QUALITY bar on your receiver and rotate the LNB in holder slowly.

The LNB must be at manufacturers bracket on the arm or the dish does not work correctly.

Are you in East or Weat of Ireland?

Is it a small dish (approx 2ft / 60cm)? They are not quite big enough for wet weather as you are more west.

Any dish movement needs to be slight. Adjust East/west and Up/Down separately, make sure as you tighten you do each nut in turn so dish does not squint around due to uneven force.

Once you have the satellite, the Quality or BER is more important than Signal level.

Ensure no tight bends or kinks in the coax cable.

it was working fine until about june. it was only put up in february. theres nothing wrong with the dish im in kerry and the dish is on the gable end of the wall, nothing in the way of the signal (where the dish is pointing to anyway). the cable is routed through the wall and along the attic down to the living room, i havent actually looked at the cable, i presume that because bbc works the cable is ok?
the signals break up on the other channels........quite annoying.. its an 80cm dish, aldi fare.

The dish might have been misaligned by the wind (I had that problem a few months ago and to go outside and kick it a slap).
