Fish like 6 handed more because there is more action. I like fish. Also the more hands I can play, the more of an edge I can have over my opponents if I am a better player then them. Hence I make more money.

Six handed is faster, more money...
Easier to learn about the players as there are less of them.
Easier to play more than one table simultaneously.

A question for all you online cash gamers, related to OP: If you play live a lot, are you better off mixing in a lot of full-ring games when you play online?

Gouge both your eyes out with rusty spoons instead - its more fun.

I play full ring because I am a weak tight nit.

A lot of love for full ring games!

I just multi table full ring cash games, found it harder to do with 6 handed.

When I started online ring games I started playing full ring because I felt it suited my game and was more straightforward. I went to 6 max mainly to prove to myself I could play shorthanded and to practice for my shorthanded homegames. So I guess that means my reason for playing 6 max is ego

No because it's easy to adjust to full ring. Just fold every single hand you get and hey presto - you win at poker!
