Just back from my first trip in vegas, and what a trip that was! Some spot, stayed in the flamingo for 5 nights, sat down at their 1/2 nl table first night i was there with 300 dollars, left at 7am the next morning with just over 600 dollars, very soft game. Things going well! Partying the bit out, tipping everyone for everything, though i was the big dog, then thought i would try my hand in the bellagio, sat down with max buy in in their 2/5 game, 500 bucks, had it worked up to just over 2500 dollars in 14 hours, went for something to eat and came back and promised myself just one more orbit, then this happened. Im in mid position, early caller, i look down at two black 8's, i bump it up to 25 dollars, standard raise, button calls, sb calls and bb also. Flop comes down 4h 8d as, i lead out for 120 dollars, he calls, everyone folds except the bb, turn card, bang the ace of clubs, full house, bingo, i push all in, he has me covered, hoping he has ak and thinks he has me outkickered, he oblidges and duly turns over the beautiful ak, the chips get pushed in, burnt card, river card, bang the 4 of spades, i really think you could have flown a cruise missile into my mouth my jaw was so low! Thats vegas i guess, so i proceed to the bar and order 3 double morgan spiced and coke, promptly sink all 3, discuss the bad beat with my buddy then off to bed, for some reason i didn't feel angry, im beginning to get my head around bad beats, but jeez what a baptism of fire in vegas! Thought i would share the story with use! Would have left me with over 5k that hand, holiday paid for and then SOME!! Anyone got any other interesting stories from sin city?
