    he or somebody else will be able to take it out of the station when they proved they are insured to drive and have the correct license for it and on payment of the fee for taking it and storing it for however many days. your friend will get summonsed id imagine for no dl, failing to produce, no insurance, failiing to produce and will get a term off the road when he gets his license

    ye dont need detail's if you have it picked up by a tow truck or throw it in the back of a van . ye might need your logbook though its been year's since i had to do it myself:D
    anyways your mate should count himself lucky , looks like the boy wanted to get in out the rain for some lovely paperwork.:D

    Holy sh!t, your mate's a gimp which goes without saying but I'd expect better of a professional <ahem> police force than just taking somebody's property without any paperwork changing hands! Even when they arrest yo and detain you, they have to make a list of what they take off you don't they? This sounds like more of the same from our illustrious, amateur law enforcement!

    They dont have to give you any document or receipt. An impound fee and daily charge applies alright about 35 euro per day.

    His vehicle was seized under Section 41 of The Road Traffic Act. Im sure the garda in question like anybody else had no time for somebody caught driving with no insurance or license.
