Sorry if this is covered somewhere else as it probably is, but I have recently pumped some phone numbers which I know to be BB enabled thru the "test your line here" facility provided by the major ISP's

    They all failed the test.

I am currently getting Eircon to install/wire/hotwire/complete/whatever a NEW phone line to my Greystones APARTMENT

What is the chance that I'll end up with a number that will fail the BB test?

If it does, is there anything I can make Eircom do to get me online?

Note: sole purpose of the line is for BB!

    Thanks fellas.!

Lots of numbers with bb on them fail the test presumably because of the effects on the line of the presence of bb when the test is carried out.

Please allow me to clarify: i don't have a phone line or phone number yet. What I have been doing is putting BB enabled numbers thru the checker, and they are all coming up as FAILED

I wasn't aware that HAVING BB meant that you could FAIL this test. If thats the case then that may be half the game.

As it happens, I will be on the Greystones exchange, which, according to Digiweb, must be enabled, as Digi are offering their "services" in the area.

The crux of my issue is that I fear that I will end up having to pay to get the line in, only to find that cos my place is an apartment, the line isn't suitable, or that the line fails the test as, periodically, lines fail for no reason other than some obscure technicality.

Thanks anyway and GOD DAMN MAYO
